At Home with Kasia Kronberger
Together with her husband and their two children, Kasia lives in a 170-square-meter attic apartment in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The interior architect and founder of Studio Bosko instantly fell in love with the old, grey loft – and transformed it into a light-filled family home.

The attic apartment feels both spacious and cosy. Kasia pairs extravagant furniture with a warm colour palette, a variety of woods, and elegant art. Nothing is too precious; everything is meant to be lived in.

"Alongside the sense of togetherness we want for our family and children, it’s really important to us that they can move freely, run around, and explore everything."

The renovation focused on opening up the floor plan. The kitchen, living, and dining areas flow seamlessly into one another — perfect for family life, where the children play while the parents cook, and equally ideal for evenings with friends.

A standout feature is the custom-made bookshelf that wraps around the chimney stack. Stained in a dark sand tone, it forms a focal point in the living room and interacts beautifully with the room’s impressive height.

Kasia’s Interior Tip for the Main Space

It’s best not to follow trends but to choose pieces that are comfortable and have personal meaning. This creates a truly unique style.

On the other side of the apartment are the bedrooms and bathrooms. One of Kasia’s favourite spots is the earthy monochrome bathroom, while the guest bathroom surprises with a bold splash of colour.

"It’s much more about creating an atmosphere and giving a space character that reflects the people living there — not about adhering to a particular style or function."

In the bedroom, shades of brown and beige are accented with touches of red. A hidden wardrobe beside the bed adds structure.

Kasia’s Interior Tip for the Children’s Room

A large bed grows with the child and quickly becomes a play area. Lightweight furniture and cushions make the space flexible and easy for children to move themselves.

"I believe that a home is truly where your closest and most important people are."
